Research organisations urge political parties to commit to “sustained” funding
The UK should be a leading investor in R&D among the G7 group of major economies, key organisations in the country’s R&D sector have come together to say.
The Royal Society, the vice-chancellor’s group Universities UK, major health research funder Wellcome, the Russell Group of research-intensive universities and the science advocacy organisation the Campaign for Science and Engineering were among 31 signatories of a joint statement calling for a “sustained increase” in government R&D investment.
