UKRI adviser: ‘We must not let those attacking diversity win’

Member of panel at centre of science secretary libel scandal speaks to RPN

A member of a UK Research and Innovation advisory panel has told Research Professional News “we should not hand over victory” to those attacking efforts to make UK research more diverse. The panel is at the centre of an escalating political scandal that has engulfed the science secretary this week.

Dibyesh Anand (pictured) was speaking after it emerged yesterday that Michelle Donelan agreed to pay £15,000 to another member of the panel who made a libel complaint after the science secretary accused her of supporting Hamas.
