Luke Hall says student finance in England is fit for purpose despite falling nursing numbers
The UK’s minister for higher education has defended the government’s approach to nursing education during discussions in the House of Commons over a decline in the number of students.
During education questions in the Commons on 29 April, Luke Hall, minister for skills, apprenticeships and higher education, insisted that the student loan system in England was “progressive” amid concerns that reforms to the repayment process—which will involve students paying off loans over a longer period of time—might deter some students.
