Blair Institute calls for public-private NHS data trust

“Concierge” company for researchers to access NHS data could follow BBC Studios public-private model

The UK should create a public-private company to oversee and improve access to NHS data for researchers, the Tony Blair Institute has said.

In a report published on 21 May, the former Labour prime minister’s think tank said the company would be majority-owned and controlled by the government and the NHS, with co-investment from industry.
