Experts welcome membership that will mean UK researchers can access EU-funded supercomputer calls

The UK has become a member of an EU-funded supercomputer partnership, meaning its researchers can reap more benefits from the scheme. The move was welcomed by UK experts as “fantastic”.

While UK researchers can already access the bloc’s network of eight supercomputers, the UK joining the partnership on 13 May means its scientists can apply to EU-funded supercomputer calls.
