Ministers urged to boost firms’ ‘stagnating’ R&D spending

Campaign for Science and Engineering calls for predictable and fit-for-purpose policy landscape

A lobby group has called on Westminster to incentivise UK businesses to spend more on research and development, saying investment has “stagnated”.

The government should “use all the levers” to ensure “vital” investment in science goes up, the Campaign for Science and Engineering said in a report on 21 May.
