Funding forms part of government’s £85 million pledge to tackle the health threat
The government is committing up to £10 million to create a global science panel for antimicrobial resistance as part of an £85m package to “reduce the threat posed to the UK”.
Up to £10m will be spent on establishing the panel over the next five years. The government expects its partner, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to match the funding.
