Government commits to funding innovative science in antimicrobial resistance over next five years
The UK government has unveiled an action plan to tackle antimicrobial resistance over the next five years.
Running from 2024 to 2029, the plan includes commitments on R&D, such as working across the public sector, academia and industry to fund science in the area. The plan supports the government’s 20-year vision to contain and control AMR by 2040 and is the second in a series of five-year national action plans.
