Science minister Andrew Griffith says “research looks after itself” and focus should tilt to innovation

Science minister Andrew Griffith has said the UK government would like to “pivot a little more” to innovation, as research “looks after itself”.

To fulfil its stated aim of making the UK a science and technology superpower, Griffith said in a podcast on 1 May that the government should tilt its focus to innovation and invest more in this area.
