Post-Brexit scheme aimed at star talent continues to attract two applications a year

A fast-track visa route for prize-winning researchers has received just six applications in total since it was launched three years ago, Research Professional News has learned.

Launched in May 2021, the scheme is part of the UK government’s post-Brexit global talent route, an aspect of its points-based immigration system aiming to bring the “brightest and the best” to the country.
