Deal restoring devolved government in Northern Ireland carries pledges on education and science

The UK and Irish governments have made a range of R&D and higher education commitments to the restored executive in Northern Ireland.

The deal, entitled New Decade, New Approach and agreed by all major NI political parties over the past few days, restores the Northern Irish government, parliament and the North/South Ministerial Council three years after the assembly there collapsed.
