UK must invest more in Northern Ireland R&D, says Ulster director

                   

Economy minister laments “stark” disparity in research council funding between Northern Ireland and London

The director of research and impact at Ulster University, Tim Brundle, has called on the UK government to invest more in R&D in Northern Ireland.

Brundle told MPs last week it would be “difficult” to better connect R&D investments across the country “without the UK government making substantial investments in Northern Ireland that we would see in other parts of the UK”.
