Representatives from charities and industry are to be quizzed by UK MPs as part of an inquiry into clinical trials.
Among those to give evidence to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee on 17 April are James Shannon, the chief medical officer at GlaxoSmithKline, and Sharmila Nebhrajani, the chief executive of the Association of Medical Research Charities.
Also speaking at the hearing will be: Catherine Elliott, head of clinical research support and ethics at the Medical Research Council; Peter Johnson, chief clinician at Cancer Research UK; John Williams, head of clinical activities at the Wellcome Trust; and Bina Rawal, director of research, medical and innovation at the Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry.
