Lords science committee gets fresh faces

The membership of the House of Lords Science and Technology committee has been confirmed, with nine peers joining who were not members in the last parliament.

The nine new members of the committee who were confirmed in the House of Lords on 8 June are: Ewan Cameron (Crossbench), Christopher Fox (Liberal Democrat), Julian Hunt (Labour), Ajay Kakkar (Crossbench), John Maxton (Labour), Sally Morgan (Labour), James Graham (Conservative), Lilian Neville-Jones (Conservative) and Iain Vallance (Liberal Democrat). 

The five returning members are: Peter Hennessy (Crossbench), Elizabeth Manningham-Buller (crossbench), Maurice Peston (Labour) Matthew Ridley (Conservative), and Conservative peer John Palmer remains chairman of the committee.
