Norman Lamb, Rachel Reeves and Nicky Morgan have been elected to chair three influential parliamentary committees.
Lamb, Liberal Democrat MP for North Norfolk, will chair the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee. He succeeds Stephen Metcalfe, Conservative MP for South Basildon and East Thurrock, who served six years in the role.
Labour MP for Leeds West Reeves will chair the House of Commons Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy Committee. She described her appointment as a “huge privilege”. She has previously said that climate change would be her top priority.
