The House of Commons Health Committee is about to finalise its membership and begin operations.
The committee expects to finalise its membership on 11 September, it said on 7 September.
Sarah Wollaston, the Conservative MP for Totnes, will chair the committee. Wollaston was the only person nominated for the position and she was appointed uncontested. She chaired the previous House of Commons Health Committee, which was dissolved with the dissolution of parliament on 3 May, ahead of the general election on 8 June.
