QR funding must be protected in UKRI review, lobby groups say

UK Research and Innovation must set out clear plans for quality-related funding as the agency prepares to distribute an additional £7 billion by 2021-22, advocacy groups for science and universities have said.

In written evidence submitted to the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee, MPs were told that QR funding was vital for the health of research and innovation in the UK and that it must not be left behind as other parts of the R&D budget are set to grow.
