MPs’ frustration over further delays to forensics legislation

Science and Technology Committee demands answers from Home Office after bill omitted from Queen’s speech

The chair of the House of Commons Science and Technology Committee has written of his disappointment over “long-overdue” forensics legislation.

In a letter addressed to Kit Malthouse, minister of state for the Home Office, Norman Lamb said successive Science and Technology committees had called for the forensic science regulator to have statutory powers.
