Lords committee says UK should become better at anticipating, preparing for and responding to risks
The Covid-19 pandemic exposed the UK’s risk-management system as “deficient and too inflexible to provide the protection the nation needs”, a damning House of Lords report has concluded.
It the report, the Risk Assessment and Risk Planning Committee concluded that the UK should become better at anticipating, preparing for and responding to a range of challenging risk scenarios, including those it has never experienced before.
