Proposed amendments would require more transparency and specific focus on climate or health
MPs have tabled a series of amendments to the Advanced Research and Invention Agency bill calling for more parliamentary oversight of the funder for “high-risk, high-reward” research.
The amendments were published on 4 June ahead of a 7 June debate in the House of Commons. They call for a series of changes to the current bill, mostly asking for more parliamentary oversight and public scrutiny of the agency’s work.
