The legislation has now received royal assent and could drastically change the education landscape

The Westminster government’s skills bill has received royal assent and become the Skills and Post-16 Education Act 2022.

The Department for Education confirmed on 28 April that the legislation has now officially passed into law in England, with skills minister Alex Burghart saying the act will “transform the skills, training and post-16 education landscape and level up opportunities across the country”.
