Autumn statement: List of key pledges Jeremy Hunt and the Treasury made on science
Chancellor Jeremy Hunt has made a raft of pledges in his autumn statement, with the Treasury announcing over £750 million of “ambitious investments” in UK R&D this financial year alone.
In his statement on 22 November, Hunt praised the advanced manufacturing and life sciences sectors in particular and promised reformed R&D tax credits, less red tape and more investment to boost science and innovation.
