Keeping physical space for diagnostics is “critical” for pandemic preparedness, experts say

The closure and sale of the UK’s lab that was key to scaling up Covid-19 testing has been described as a “missed opportunity” by a couple of pandemic-time insiders who ran such labs.

This is partly because an immediate access to such physical lab space would be the “most critical aspect” to effectively fight another pandemic “war”, MPs have heard.
