The Scottish Parliament’s Economy, Jobs and Fair Work Committee has called for evidence for its inquiry into the “accuracy, utility and comprehensibility” of Scottish economic statistics.
Announcing a call for evidence on 12 June, the committee said the inquiry would also consider what data was required for effective delivery and scrutiny of policy; and to recommend where any improvements might be made.
It particularly wants to hear from those who produce, interpret or use statistics about what works well, what could be done better and what could be learned from other places.
