Richard Lochhead calls for clarity on research funding after EU exit

In an exclusive interview with Research Fortnight, Scotland’s science and higher education minister has warned that Brexit will harm his country’s research community far more than the rest of the UK.

“Part of our success in science over the centuries has been due to our strong ties with the European continent,” said Richard Lochhead, the Scottish National Party MSP for Moray. “And therefore, Brexit threatens to disproportionately damage Scottish science and innovation.”
