Scottish universities urged to ‘be like Singapore’ on life sciences

Government-commissioned report on boosting life sciences investment urges universities to generate 'high-quality' spinouts

Scottish universities should follow the lead of Singapore in building links with industry to boost life sciences investment in the devolved nation, a new report has suggested.

According to the report, commissioned by the Scottish government, Scotland comes just behind the ‘golden triangle’ regions of London, east and south-east England in terms of the number of deals made in life sciences.
