House of Commons Scottish Affairs Committee criticises response to university report as recommendations turned down

The government has been criticised for rejecting MPs’ calls for greater Scottish representation in national R&D bodies.

A report from the Scottish Affairs Committee, published in May last year, highlighted that Scotland was losing out on academic and research partnerships as a result of Brexit and “sky-high” visa fees, which was “damaging” its ability to “attract the brightest”.
