Universities Scotland releases manifesto for the next UK general election

The vice-chancellors’ body Universities Scotland has released a manifesto ahead of the next UK general election calling for more efforts on supporting research and innovation, and on talent attraction and retention.

It asks the next government to commit to 10-year plans in research and development and to prioritise expanding the Regional Innovation Fund, a scheme intended to boost support areas with lower levels of R&D investment.
