The Welsh government has published its plan for the body that will replace the Higher Education Funding Council for Wales.

The Tertiary Education and Research Commission for Wales will be responsible for planning the delivery of education and skills across all post-16 education and training in Wales, and for coordinating all Welsh government research and innovation funding.

Its main features have been outlined in a Welsh government white paper published on 20 June.
