Wales to launch infrastructure commission

The Welsh government will establish a national infrastructure commission to guide future investment decisions, it has announced.

The government will work with the commission to ensure infrastructure investments “recognise the needs of Wales”, according to its programme for government, released on 19 September.

The programme aims to create opportunities for businesses to support the nation becoming a low carbon economy. It also aims to push for the decarbonisation of public services.
