Welsh government says safety net for applicants must be set up “as soon as possible”
The UK government should set up a safety net for Horizon Europe applicants “as soon as possible” to ensure Wales does not lose out on a “single penny” in funding post-Brexit, the Welsh Government has said.
The intervention comes as pressure is mounting on the UK government to finalise association to the European Union’s €95.5 billion (£80.5bn) R&D programme, as political disputes over Northern Ireland threaten to lock UK researchers out of the funding.
