Government promises to introduce bill this autumn that would replace HEFCW after pandemic pause

The Welsh government has confirmed it will introduce a bill designed to overhaul post-16 education and research this autumn, following delays during the Covid-19 pandemic.

Counsel General in the Welsh government, Mick Antoniw, announced on 6 July that five bills would be covered during the new government’s first year in office, including the Tertiary Education and Research (Wales) Bill.
