Research and innovation must help the Welsh economy to grow, conference hears

Research and innovation will be key in supporting the replacement of dying industries and the creation of new ones in Wales, a conference has heard.

Robert Hoyle, head of science in the Welsh government, said on 22 April that there is a “pressing need” to grow the economy in Wales and the “best way to do this” is through R&I.
