System aims to ease access to NHS research data

The Department of Health’s National Institute for Health Research has launched a service that will allow researchers greater access to health data.

The Clinical Practice Research Datalink service, launched on 31 October, was spurred by a promise in the government’s Plan for Growth in March to build a consensus on using e-health record data.
