TSB backs £3m cancer informatics project

The Technology Strategy Board is supporting a £3 million collaboration between academic and industry partners to develop improved data handling and storage in cancer research.

The Acropolis (Advanced Collaborative Research for Oncology Platform for Improved Outcomes, Learnings, Insight and Science) project brings together two cancer research centres at King’s College London and the Christie Hospital in Manchester with the data management and analytics firm IDBS and the IT services company Quantix Ltd.
