The National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence produced 122 pieces of guidance on clinical approvals, treatment plans and public health in 2010-11, according to its latest annual review.
It also produced the Medical Technologies Evaluation Programme, set up to evaluate new cost-saving technologies within the NHS.
