John O’Dowd, Northern Ireland’s education minister, has announced a review of GCSE and A-level qualifications.
In a meeting of the Northern Ireland assembly on 1 October he said proposed changes to GCSEs and A-levels in England “present an opportunity” to consider how examination systems meet the needs of the pupils.
