Space industries contributed £9.1 billion to the UK economy in 2010/11, but growth is expected to slow in the next year, according to a UK Space Agency report published on 12 October.
The biennial report, ‘Size and Health of the UK Space Industry’, surveyed 234 companies and institutions deemed to be ‘actively involved’ in the UK space industry, and questioned them on their turnover, R&D spend and employment figures.
