Clinical research facilities in Manchester have won £12.5 million in government funding for research into diseases that affect the population of the North West.
The Wellcome Trust Children’s Clinical Research Facility at Central Manchester University Hospital will receive £5.5m for research on common diseases such as arthritis, depression, addiction and diabetes.
