Andrew Jamieson, policy and innovation director at Scottish Power Renewables, has been appointed chief executive officer of the UK’s innovation agency’s offshore renewable energy catapult.
Jamieson, who is also chairman of the UK trade body for wind and marine renewables, RenewableUK, will be responsible for delivering the catapult’s goals and producing a business plan for the centre. The Glasgow-based catapult, to begin operating next year, aims is to accelerate development and commercialisation of offshore energy technologies.
