Willetts announces Glasgow as ‘city of the future’

Glasgow is to receive a boost of £24 million after winning a government competition to demonstrate how a city of the future will function.

Speaking in the city on 25 January, David Willetts, the science and universities minister, said Glasgow would demonstrate “how cities can work more efficiently with a reduced environmental impact”.
