The Ministry of Defence needs to increase its science and technology and R&D spending, according to a report from the House of Commons Defence Committee on 4 February.
The MPs say there are “major problems” with the way the MoD provides the armed forces with equipment and services, and that a reduction in R&D spending in recent years “offers a serious threat to the technical skills base” in the UK.
