TSB says its low carbon vehicles project could earn UK £8.2bn

The Technology Strategy Board is predicting that its Low Carbon Vehicles Innovation Platform will bring “great benefits” to the UK.

Launched in 2007, the project aims to support the introduction of low carbon vehicles, reduce carbon dioxide emissions from road transport, and boost the UK automotive sector.

A report, commissioned by the TSB, has estimated that the projects supported by the platform could increase UK Gross Value Added by £8.2 billion over the next 10 to 15 years.
