Copyright hub gets £150,000 boost

The government is to provide £150,000 to get the UK’s copyright hub off the ground, intellectual property minister James Younger said on 25 March.

The website, which aims to provide consumers with information about rights ownership and copyright licences, will be designed and built by industry. This is in line with the recommendations made by Ian Hargreaves, professor of digital economy at Cardiff University, in his 2011 review of intellectual property and growth.
