The Department of Health has issued a statement to say that the government’s policy on who is responsible for certain costs relating to health research is “very clear”.
“Treatment costs for patients who are taking part in research funded by government and research charity partner organisations are funded through normal arrangements for commissioning patient care,” said the department in a statement issued to Research Fortnight.
