The Department of Health has announced that its forthcoming five-year plan to tackle antimicrobial resistance is underway, saying it expects to publish it this summer.
The plan will focus on seven priority areas including research to understand antimicrobial resistance; the development of drugs and innovative therapies; and increasing international collaboration and data sharing.
