UK firms working with international partners on satellite technology will benefit from a £32-million programme set up by the UK Space Agency.
Projects applying for funding from the International Partnership Space Programme should use satellite technology to tackle issues such as flooding, deforestation and humanitarian crises in emerging economies. The aim is to support UK companies to provide hi-tech exports through international partnerships, and to create growth in the UK space industry, the agency said in a statement on 17 November.
The £32m programme will run for 2 years, and grants will be matched by industry, the UKSA said.
