Innovate UK, two research councils and the Indian government’s Department of Biotechnology have launched a competition to develop methods for reducing industrial waste in India.
The competition, supported by the UK government’s Newton Fund, aims to encourage partnerships between the two countries, according to an Innovate UK announcement on 19 January.
Up to £8 million will be available from Innovate UK, the Biotechnology and Biological Sciences Research Council, the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and the Indian government.
