Ageing society and clean growth offer research and innovation opportunities for Greater Manchester, according to a preliminary report on the region’s local industrial strategy.
In a statement published on 30 October, the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy set out its progress towards a Greater Manchester Local Industrial Strategy, one of the UK’s first local industrial strategies.
It said that the Ageing Society and Clean Growth Grand Challenges, funded under the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, “play to the unique strengths” of the city.
