Spending review—who wants what

Ahead of the chancellor’s 25 November review, a look at the research world’s priorities

Over the past year, the UK government has been making big pronouncements on prioritising research and on doubling science spending to £22 billion a year.

Many in the sector will be glued to the spending review announcements on Wednesday to see how it’s planning to start doing that. But the sector has been busy voicing its own priorities and concerns too. Here are the big wants from different groups ahead of the 25 November spending review.
